When you are in your 60s, wrinkles cannot be avoided and will eventually appear in your skin. But what about when you start seeing wrinkles when you are only in your 30s?
I don’t know anyone who wants aging wrinkles. They are not flattering and can … well … age you! Unfortunately, it does not take you to be 60 before wrinkles start appearing in your face. Wrinkles are caused by a number of factors, which include poor diet, smoking, heredity, too much exposure to the sun, dehydration, and the skin’s poor ability to hold out moisture.
Lets take a look at how the sun causes you to look older. The body has a substance called collagen. This substance is responsiblefor giving your skin it’s elasticity. Constant long exposure to sun, will also expose you to UV radiation. UV radiation has the ability to break down collagen. This is why it is important that people should protect their skin with sunscreen, whether they are going to the beach, playing sports, or just strolling in the park.
Smoking has been known to damage the lungs of the smokers as well as the recipients of second-hand smoke. Apparently, smoking does more than just that. It can also diminish the amount of oxygen, antioxidants and other important elements in the body, which are necessary for the skin to maintain its youthful glow.
While there are treatments, creams, and moisturizers that can help you combat aging wrinkles. prevention is always better than a cure – and what better way to prevent the appearance of wrinkles than to live a healthier lifestyle?
